| My name is Vanessa Calderon. I am a mother, a nurse, a member of the American Holistic Nurses Association, and a member of the International Association of Reiki Professionals, an Usui Reiki Master Teacher, a 'Medicine Buddha' Reiki Master Teacher, a natural psychic-medium, a perpetual student of spirituality and religions, as well as professional astrologer and tarot reader. In 1995 I felt a personal responsibility to either use my psychic and mediumistic ability, or to ignore it. I chose to use it, but not without satisfying my extremely logical mind first: I began to study astrology simply because it has thousands of years of practical use behind it. And I found out that it works. Then I found Reiki, a holistic energy work method that addresses stress relief and total, overall well-being. I found Reiki to be the perfect way for me to use the energy that I am able to perceive, in a harmless, helpful, and positive way. But it was a birth chart reading that I did for an established and well-known psychic that changed my life. She adamantly insisted that I begin reading for people regularly, and so I did. Still craving logic and science as a base for my career, I became a registered nurse. Only then was I convinced that I was grounded and educated enough to go out and pursue my true love and my favorite hobby as a Professional Psychic/Medium and Astrologer. As a registered nurse, I hold a Certificate in Forensic Nursing. Forensic Nursing is the study of nursing as it pertains to law, crime, grief and victim support. This training complements my natural ability to connect with those who have passed. Reiki is a holistic stress relief method, which I offer to both children and adults.
